Different Versions of the "To be or not to be..." Speech
Yesterday in English we watched about four different versions of the famous "To be or not to be..." speech from Shakespeare's Hamlet. Each version's deliverance of the speech had its own flavor, but they all basically had the same theme. Each one had a dark, ominous feeling to it. And how else should it be anyway? It's a speech on life, suicide and the speculation about what happens after death. I know now why this is such a famous speech in literature. Seeing it performed in different movies shows its meaning way more than reading it.
